involves a listing we have been working on for nearly a year, you heard me
right a year. It is because we are poor Short Sale negotiators? You know better than
that…. No it’s because Fannie Mae is determined to try and control
the housing market at the expense of you the tax payer and the expense of the
unsuspecting homeowner.
In this particular Wells
Fargo Fannie Mae short sale we have had several
offers at fair market value. As is Fannie
Mae’s practice Fannie Mae has
continually requested 20% over fair market value for the property.
We successfully had
three foreclosure sale dates postponed and thought for sure we were dead in the
water with the fourth sale date pending. Through multiple escalations at the
11thhour we were able to get the foreclosure postponed once again to allow Wells
Fargo time to review the offer. Looks like we are finally going
to get this one approved after going through 5 buyers and nearly a year in
negotiations. Imagine how much money Fannie Mae has
lost playing their “manipulate the market” games – oh I forgot, as a GSE, it is
OUR money, the taxpayers, who’s money they lost – that makes me feel better….
Bottom line is we NEVER give up and will save this property from foreclosure
